Considering a career change, want to pick up a new skill, or just freshen up those old dining room chairs?
These upholstery classes in Knoxville, TN are what you’ve been looking for.
While Crown Upholstery’s main focus is upholstery in Knoxville, we also want to share our knowledge and experience about the upholstery industry with you.
Our upholstery classes taught at our Knoxville Upholstery Classroom are an open workshop style that mixes both beginners and advanced upholstery students.
If you’ve ever wondered what it would take to become a professional upholsterer, want to accelerate your current upholstery business, or just want to redo that old chair that you’ve been meaning to update, this is the class for you.
A Workshop Tailored To Your Goals
Each Weeknight upholstery session takes place over four weeks, one night per week from 6 PM till 10 PM.
Looking for a shorter timeline? Our Weekend Warrior Session takes place over one weekend (Friday – Sunday) from 9 AM – 6 PM (there is a break for lunch each day).
Every class is limited to just six students each, so you get the direct attention you need for your goals.
How Does It Work?
Pretty simple, really. Before your class starts, we’ll review and approve the project you’ll be working on (i.e. a chair or small ottoman). Once we know what you’ll be working on, we’ll craft the sessions to your upholstery needs and goals.
Your project furniture can be a beloved heirloom you want to freshen up, a thrift store find, or furniture you want to repair for a loved one. If you need help figuring out what to work on, just let us know at email@example.com.
What’s Provided? What’s Not?
Each Weeknight Session consists of 4 evening classes. One night per week for 4 consecutive weeks. Single classes are not available.
The day of the week you sign up for will be the same day of the week for your entire session (so, if you sign up for the Tuesday night session, your class will ALWAYS be on Tuesday nights; you can’t/won’t attend a class on a different night).
We provide the use of compressors, pneumatic tools, and sewing machines.
Students will need to supply their own project (see below), hand tools: scissors, staple puller, mallet & tape measure (we also sell a Starter Tool Kit). Supplies for the project (dacron, webbing, etc) can be purchased during class.
What Types of Projects Are Allowed?
We strongly suggest smaller projects to ensure completion by end of the session (Projects will need to be removed at the end of each class).
For example, dining chairs, small ottomans, cushions.
Projects will need to be approved before registration is complete. To get pre-approval, please, email a photo of your project to firstname.lastname@example.org.
